The Rule of Thirds
When looking at the view finder of your camera always imagine , that it is divided into 9 equal rectangles.
Place your subject on the corners of the middle rectangle like in the picture and add some angular perspective on the shot this will make the photo more standout.
You can use this in any imaging device.
Now on Google. Search under image section Rule of Thirds and you will see much better example of shots using this simple rule.
